ALOE has its very own IRC channel. DM's, Admin's and Dev's can all be found lurking inside, happy to help with any problems you may have. The ALOE IRC channel can be found here:

Download Neebly, a free IRC client.

Install Neebly and run.

^ Select irc.gamesurge.net as your Server. ^

^ Type in #ignnwn as the channel name.

Choose a user name and voila! You should be landing in the NWN IRC channel in no time!

Once you've figured that out, Neebly also has an AutoExecute menu. To auto join the nwn channel go to: Shortcuts-> Setting-> AutoExecute and enter /join #ignnwn like so:
